How Can I Get To Cathedral Rock Sedona?
Cathedral Rock trail is located in Coconino National Forest, which is adjacent to our hotel in Sedona. The trailhead is situated on Back O' Beyond Road, which splits off of AZ 179, 3.4 miles south of US 89A. You’ll find a small parking lot (which often fills up during the day). Look for the hiker register to locate the beginning of the trail, and follow the cairns to find your way.
How Long Is The Cathedral Rock Trail?
Cathedral Rock trail is 1.4 miles round-trip. It is a short but steep ascent to the “saddle” of Cathedral Rock, so make sure that you’re prepared for the intensity of the trail. Bring plenty of water and wear sunblock for the desert sun. The summit of Cathedral Rock is 4,967 feet – and the views from the top of the saddle are absolutely spectacular.
