Don’t Leave Your Furry Friend Behind

May 8, 2023

The Arabella prides itself on being one of the most welcoming pet-friendly hotels in Sedona, AZ. We know that the best adventures are the ones with your best friend at your side. So, when you check in, we welcome your four-legged bestie with open arms.

The pet pampering starts right when you arrive, with free dog treats available at our front desk (we know how to win them over!). Get their wiggles out after your drive to the hotel with a run in our own spacious dog park. Once everyone is situated and comfy in our Red Rocks hotel rooms, get out and explore!

The Arabella is one of the most conveniently located hotels near Sedona hiking trails, so get out there and trek a bit with your dog. We love these routes.

Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte Loop

Distance: 2.125 miles

Difficulty: Moderate

One of the most dog-friendly trails in the Sedona area, this trail will take you right into the Bell Rock formation for gorgeous views of Red Rock Country. This is one of the four main vortexes of Sedona and, as such, it’s a pretty popular place. If your pup prefers a quieter hike, loop around the Courthouse Butte. The views are just as epic!

Cathedral Rock

Distance: 1.3 miles roundtrip

Difficulty: Moderate to difficult

Great for a morning jaunt, this short trail is a local favorite, especially for agile dogs. Some of the rocks are smooth and a bit slippery, so make sure your dog has a sturdy harness to ensure both his and your safety. If you have an older, less mobile dog, look at the map and take a more circuitous route as the main part of the trail has some rock stacks that they may not be too keen on.

Chimney Rock

Distance: 1.7 miles, loop

Difficult: Easy

Super easy and dog-friendly, this sunny trail has a variety of intertwining options. Choose from the Lower Chimney Rock Trail, the southern portion of the Thunder Mountain trail, or the Three Fingers trail that starts at the Thunder Mountain trailhead (this third option is a bit more “moderate” than “easy”). There’s little to no shade in this area, so be sure to pack lots of water for the both of you!

The puppy print: We charge $25 per night, per room, for up to two pets per room. If you have a service animal, that fee is waived. Our pet rooms are carpet-free and located near the dog park, on either the first or second floor.
