Getting Artsy in Sedona

It’s hard not to find one’s muse in a location as naturally striking as Sedona. With breathtaking Red Rock formations under a vast blue sky, and a night sky unfettered by light pollution, inspiration is everywhere you look. 

We’re fortunate that our hotel is located near top studios and art galleries in Sedona, Arizona, allowing us to celebrate both local and internationally recognized artists. It’s just a short walk or  bike ride  to discover award-winning artists, and once you’ve visited one gallery, you’ll want to keep right on walking to the next. From bohemian souvenirs to incredible landscape paintings and unique sculptures, you’ll find what speaks to you in our numerous art galleries, at local art festivals and seasonal 1st Friday events. 

Exposures International Gallery of Fine Art 

From Tesa Michaels’ fine art paintings that incorporate precious stones with exceptional results to Diana Simpson’s playful bronze sculptures based on her explorations of the Sedona wilds, the award-winning Exposures International Gallery of Fine Art should be top on your list of gallery visits. Take your time to explore all the collection has to offer, including jewelry, photography, wall art, and outdoor pieces.

Renee Taylor Gallery

Pick up an eye-catching Lyman Whitaker bronze wind sculpture at the diverse Renee Taylor Gallery. The collection includes pieces for all budgets, whether you’re shopping for abstract art or a statement necklace. This gallery is set in the popular Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village, so when you’re through here, just step outside for a multitude of choices of where to go next.

Sedona Arts Center

With more than 100 local and regional artists represented under one roof, Sedona Arts Center is a must. Even if you’ve been to town before, you’ll find something new. The campus art gallery boasts a dynamic, ever-changing display of talent. As a nonprofit, the organization offers all purchases without sales tax. Located in West Sedona. 

Son Silver West Gallery Inc. 

Bring home a slice of Sedona from Son Silver West Gallery Inc., a family-owned and -operated gallery carrying traditional Southwestern and folk art. Select from outdoor metal pieces and garden pottery, wind chimes, sculptures, home decor, handmade jewelry and more. Located on Highway 179, in lower Sedona.

1st Fridays in the Galleries 

Join the Sedona art scene on the first Friday of every month, weather permitting. From 4 pm to 7 pm, stroll between gallery receptions, listen to music and indulge in wine and treats as you immerse yourself in the local art.

Sedona Arts Festival 

This highly acclaimed art festival, held in the fall each year, is one of the finest of its size in the country. It exhibits the work of more than 125 artists in 11 different artistic mediums. Expect live entertainment, food and beverages, raffles and more – the perfect way to spend a beautiful autumn day in Sedona. (Held the second weekend in October.)
