Also nearby, you can explore the five-mile, interconnected trail system of Red Rock State Park, topping out with 360-degree views from Eagle’s Nest. Or take any number of routes south of town to the knobby butte of Chicken Point, providing a one-of-a-kind vantage point for admiring the skyline beyond to the Bradshaw Mountains.
Or take the 3.6-mile Bell Rock Pathway for views of some of the Sedona area’s most famous promontories, including Bell Rock, as well as nearby Courthouse Rock. Don’t miss the opportunity to tackle the moderately challenging path up to Cathedral Rock, where notches and saddles between grand spires provide incredible sightlines. Even if you’re not quite brave enough to walk across Devil’s Bridge, this moderate hike near West Sedona is worth considering for a look at the Southwest’s largest sandstone arch.
