Our Favorite Ways to Tee Off in Sedona

March 4, 2024

With fairways for all levels, incredible views and year-round playability, Sedona is a golfer’s dream destination. Traditional, tree-lined dog-leg designs are complemented by more open play that takes advantage of the elevation changes and vistas of Red Rock Country. Plus, you can’t beat the perfect tee time weather – from 93 degrees in the summer to 58 degrees in the winter. Play bent-grass greens and rye fairways all year long. With our ample choices, from 9-hole, par-3 courses to 18-hole championship courses, you’ll find enough to start planning your return trip already.

These are some of our favorite fairways, on which to take advantage of more than 300 days of sunshine each year… and did we mention the unparalleled scenery?

Sedona Golf Resort

Combining jaw-dropping views and an exceptional challenge, Sedona Golf Resort is continually rated four stars by Golf Digest. Tackle the 6,646-yard, par-71 course for one of the world’s most unforgettable golf experiences. The resort meanders through the valley’s junipers and overlooks an outcropping of coral cliffs.

Oakcreek Country Club

Get an early start on Sedona’s original championship golf course, Oakcreek Country Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Jr. Shoot your way through a glorious morning surrounded by Red Rocks splendor, testing your skill on tree-lined doglegs with strategically placed fairway bunkers in the landing areas and slightly elevated greens. This player-friendly course is a Sedona classic.

Canyon Mesa Country Club

A jewel in the Red Rocks region, this triple A-rated, executive, par-3 golf course is open to the public and challenging for a low-handicap player. The highly ranked short course is narrow and has a few difficult greens that make it ideal for target golf. The Country Mesa Country Club also features the first footgolf course in northern Arizona, if you’re up for something new.

Apres-golf, return to one of the best hotels near Sedona golf courses, The Arabella, to freshen up and have a glass of wine, then take a short walk to the restaurants, art galleries and shops in town. Tomorrow, before your next round, take advantage of our complimentary breakfast. Don’t worry, if you don’t have your best day on the greens, you can chalk it up to those spectacularly distracting views!
