It’s Wedding Season in the Desert, so now’s the time for that Bachelorette Girls’ Getaway before the Big Day! At The Arabella in Sedona, Arizona, we have you covered when you’re retreating with your ‘Maids for that special weekend – from outdoor activities to spa treatments, shopping to sipping local wine.
Favorite Girls’ Getaway Activities in Sedona
Get Your Hike On
Tackle a local trail and fill up on endorphins for the day. Some of our favorites include the Bell Rock trail and the Crescent Moon Ranch trail, neither of which are too taxing, but both take you to gorgeous landscapes. Choose between two Bell Rock trails, one just under a mile and the other clocking in at 3.6 miles for a longer workout. Fun fact: Bell Rock is considered one of Sedona’s many vortexes. To get some iconic Sedona photography, head to Cathedral Rock, perhaps the area’s most famous hike.
Go Wine Tasting
Wine enthusiasts are catching drift of Sedona’s burgeoning presence on the wine routes of the western United States. Start at Oak Creek Vineyards & Winery, then follow the Verde Valley Wine Trail, featuring more than 20 wineries and tasting rooms, all an easy drive from Sedona. If you’re visiting in the fall, the weather is perfect for outdoor tastings and picnicking on local charcuteries – which you can enjoy as part of the “Gourmet Plate” at Oak Creek.
Go Off-Roading
Remember the feeling of a true belly laugh? Hold onto your hat and get ready to yelp with glee on an iconic Pink Jeep Tour. These exhilarating rides take you to places like Broken Arrow, that you would otherwise have to hike to. Want to fit in the Grand Canyon while you’re in town? Pink Jeep Tours has outings for that, too.
Say, “Sp-ahhhh”
Go hiking or off-roading for the day, then return to Sedona for some long-awaited spa time. We love A New Day Spa with its outdoor gardens, hot tub, and fountains that perfectly complement a menu of desert- and Native American-inspired body treatments, spa rituals, restorative facials, and full nail service.
Shop ‘Til You Drop
Particularly for one-of-a-kind art, collectibles, gifts, and jewelry, Tlaquepaque is a don’t-miss Sedona shopping destination. Named after a town near Guadalajara, Mexico, the postcard-perfect shopping village contains 40 shops, art galleries, and restaurants. Then, pop over to Sinagua Plaza, with another 30+ gift shops, galleries, dining spots, and clothing stores – all set off by some of the best Red Rock views in all of Sedona. Hillside Galleries offers world-renowned galleries, great dining and boutiques and is walking distance from the hotel.
