Romantic Getaways: Valentine’s Day in Sedona

Love is in the air, and no more so than here at beautiful Arabella, where guests awaken to a lavish breakfast spread, spend days languishing in the hot tub or in Adirondack chairs drinking in the view, and see out the evening stargazing or sipping fine wine.

Join us for a Valentine’s Day in Sedona and relish your romance in the three ways we celebrate love, with savory dining, sunset views, and spa treatments.

Cheers to You

Raise a toast to your couplehood at one of our favorite restaurants in the area: Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill, Rene at Tlaquepaque, or The Hudson. At Mariposa, you’ll enjoy Chef Lisa Dahl’s finest dishes, influenced by Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay. Don’t miss the pollo rustico with charred corn and roasted potatoes. French restaurant Rene at Tlaquepaque is tucked away in the Arts and Crafts Village, and ideal for special-occasion dining. Try the Kvaroy Arctic salmon with pickled green tomato chili relish. And we never pass up a chance to dine at The Hudson, with its industrial-chic dining room and deck in view of the red rocks. The menu offers sophisticated comfort food at its best, from house-smoked salmon bruschetta to Thai scallops and barbecue-braised pork tacos.

Sunset Views

See out the perfect day with your partner at a favorite Sedona sunset overlook.  We often find ourselves at the Sedona Airport Scenic Overlook – get there a little early to nab a good parking spot (a small fee is charged). Look west as the sun goes down, of course, but don’t forget to glance to the red rocks closer to town – the light and shadows change every second. For hikers, we love the Airport Mesa Vortex. About halfway up Airport Road, you’ll find access to the Summit Trail and the Sedona Trail View Point. Or, place yourselves in a postcard at Crescent Moon Ranch and Red Rock Crossing. Cathedral Rock and Oak Creek meet her, casting beautiful shadows on the red rock formations.

Bliss Out

If you’re craving some downtime with each other, let our friends at Mii amo Spa pamper you all day long. Their wellness treatments and renewing journeys are a go-to not only for muscles sore from red rocks hiking, but for those moments when you want a little Zen. Sign up for couple’s massages, or go individually, then meet up afterwards – scrubbed, rubbed, polished, and ready to focus on each other. Some of our favorite treatments and programs  include the jojoba body butter wrap, the ancestral stone massage, a session with a professional astrologer, and the compassionate communication session – perfect for understanding each other’s needs more clearly and empathetically.

We hope to see you and yours truly for Valentine’s Day! Please take a look at The Arabella’s special offers to find the perfect package for you.
