New Year’s Eve is right around the corner and Sedona has much in store for the enthusiastic reveler. From wild west-themed, late-night parties to family-friendly train rides, Red Rock Country helps you see out 2024 in style. Here are some of our favorite ways to bid adieu to the year behind us:
Hike to a Vortex
Whether you’re choosing a favorite spiritual area to visit to round out 2024 on New Year’s Eve, or starting 2025 afresh with a new vortex destination, Sedona has choices for days. We suggest the Bell Rock Trail, leading you to, well, a bell-shaped rock that is said to vibe with vortex energy. Can’t get enough? Ride the Rails with the Whole Family
Hop aboard the Verde Canyon Railroad on New Year’s Eve for a special afternoon ride. The depot is in nearby Clarkdale (build in some time to visit one of the charming town’s wineries). From 1 to 4 PM, you’ll glide through beautiful countryside and enjoy lunch for purchase, party hats and champagne or sparkling cider for an (early) New Year’s Eve toast. The ride is designed with the littlest family members in mind, who might not make it up until midnight!
Attend a Rip Roarin’ Ranch Party
Go wild like the west at Blazing M Ranch on New Year’s Eve in Sedona. The character-filled ranch is located in Cottonwood, about 19 miles from Sedona. Bring the whole family (children are welcome) to live out the last night of the year with a prime rib dinner with all the fixins, a New Year’s themed wild west show, dancing and two champagne toasts (one’s at 10 PM if you have young ones with you who need to get home to bed). The party starts at 7 PM and lasts until 12:30 AM.
